NOVA COMICS takes pride in offering a wide variety of comic book titles, including a large selection of Independent publishers such as Avatar, Archaia, Moonstone and Vanguard.  While we acknowledge the industry domination of Marvel, DC, and Image Comics, we encourage you to think "outside the cape" and check out other titles when you visit.

New comics are available for sale every Wednesday.  On occasion, a holiday will shift the release day to the next business day when such a holiday affects shipping channels.

Due to storage constraints, we cannot carry everything, so when you are looking for a title or specific issue that we do not have in stock, we will be more than happy to order it for you.

There will be times where we sell out of a popular comic.  To guarantee that you get the issues you want, sign up for the NOVA COMICS SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE!
When you become a NOVA COMICS SUBSCRIBER, you:
  • Never miss out on any of your favorite comics! Each week, before we stock the shelves, we pull your comics first!
  • Save time! Your comics will be waiting for you behind the counter. When you come into the store, just give us your box number to retreive your comics. You may always browse the sthop, but as a subscriber there's no risk of running out of the titles you want.
  • Save money! We offer a 5% discount on new comics for subscribers of 10 or more new comics each month.  (If you are Active Duty Military, you receive this discount regardless of the number of titles on your list. Please show your military ID to receive this discount.)
  • Can change your mind!  At any time, you may add or subtract titles from your pull list.  Just send us an email, call, or let us know when you next come in.
Minimum Requirements for Opening a Subscription Box
  • One regular monthly title.
  • Subscription box must have activity at least once every four weeks.  (Activity is defined as the purchase of most or all of the product in your box, or a good faith arrangement by you with comic shop staff for purchase of same, based upon issues stemming from work, personal, or military obligations.)
Sign up for our subscription service today! You can sign up in person at our shop, or call us up at 703-912-6682 to give us your list. Just tell us which comics you want us to reserve for you, your name and mailing address, your phone number, and an email address. If signing up by email, we will send you a message confirming your list, telling you your box number, and providing you the terms and conditions of service.
